Viburnum ‘Carlesi’

The viburnums are one of the most outstanding group of shrubs for use in the landscape planting. Among their characteristics are varied growth habits, excellent foliage, striking and fragrant flowers, showy fruit and interesting winter appearance.

Potent spicy scented flowers distinguish this versatile old fashioned shrub. Blooms in mid-spring with softball sized clusters of waxy pink flowers that fade to white. Bright red bunches of quarter-inch berries appear in late summer, maturing to black in fall. These stand out from the downy muted green foliage. Foliage color brightens to striking red and rich burgundy in Autumn.
