Botanical Name: CLETHRA

Clethra alnifolia is a summer flowering shrub that works great in wet sites. This shrub can grow in sunny locations as well as shady locations but will perform best in locations with partial shade. The flowers are borne on bottlebrush like inflorescences mid to late summer.

A handsome, well-foliaged shrub that produces a summertime display of fragrant, pinkish-white flower spikes lasting for up to six weeks. Sends up suckers from the root system, slowly forming a colony. Well suited for use near water.
